Hello!
My name is Jennifer Rice
I'm thrilled to share that I am the Founder, Director, and Program Manager of Sent With Love! One of the most exciting aspects of being a board member is collaborating with an amazing team to lead and shape our ministry. I absolutely love hearing and implementing the valuable insights from my fellow board members. And just for fun, I’m a big fan of Bright Pink, New York Strip Steak, and those irresistible Chocolate Fat Bombs!
The Heart of Sent With Love
Robyn, Assistant Director
Robyn has taken on the crucial roles of Kids4Kids Coordinator, inviting students to decorate Sent With Love envelopes, and Monthly Mail Director, which involves organizing and hosting monthly card-writing sessions with up to 12 volunteers. She is also a point of contact for volunteers. Furthermore, Robyn serves as the Birthday & Bravery Coordinator, celebrating birthdays & warrior kids who have completed their treatment. Her dedication and skills have been instrumental in growing the ministry, allowing Sent With Love to transition from sending mail 8 times a year to a monthly basis, which has added 17 more families to their mailing list.

Tirzah, Online Support
I am passionate about coming alongside nonprofits, and small businesses, and supporting their efforts with my creative skills. So when Jennifer approached me to help with the graphic design aspects, I was thrilled! Just in the short time, I've been part of Sent With Love, I've seen Jennifer meet major goals and expand its reach. I love Indian, and Asian food, and if I had to choose an indulgence, I would have to say a good KDrama series 🫣 My favorite verse is Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

As a member of Sent With Love, I’m passionate about our mission and the positive impact we have on ALL families! One of my inspiring verses is, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13. My favorite food? Mexican cuisine—those bold flavors are unbeatable! When it comes to colors, I adore green in every shade! My ultimate indulgence? Hiking! I’m always ready for an adventure!
Dessi, Board Member
Growing up, my Nana and I exchanged letters, a tradition I honored after her passing from leukemia. Inspired by our friend Rice, I started a nonprofit to support children with cancer, writing uplifting cards and assembling care packages to bring them comfort. My husband and I have a 4.5-year-old son and a 2.5-old daughter who love to play together along with our adopted puppy, Kona. I cherish staying home with them, exploring farms, orchards, parks, and enjoying outdoor activities. In my free time, I volunteer the Sent with Love Board, create art with the kids, and coordinate events a local moms group.

Who We Are
Our Roots
Jennifer Rice and her family became a part of the pediatric cancer community when her son was diagnosed with leukemia. We are happy to report that he is doing well. During his treatment, Jennifer noticed that few families experienced generous love and support through their child’s cancer journey. Sent With Love was created to actively demonstrate God’s love and fill the gap - including showing love to hurting siblings and parents.

Loving our neighbor as ourselves
Since our launch in 2020, the volunteers at Sent With Love have met monthly to write meaningful cards and prepare thoughtful care packages. Each person - including children - seeks to be a part of sending hope.You can be a part of this ministry! Request a Sent With Love Day in a Box and host a card writing day, share your skills, be a prayer warrior -- or perhaps even be a Sent With Love Kid Family.
What We Do
Demonstrate Love
Sent With Love Volunteers prepare cards, care packages and gift bags to minister to Sent With Love Kids, their families, and their caregivers. Several times a year, we conduct special deliveries to kids and their caregivers at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, and expanding to additional locations! Volunteers donate their time from all around the country.

What We Believe In
Our mission is to support kids with pediatric illnesses and their families in the form of personalized mail and care packages. Our ultimate goal is to make their journey as a family a little easier. This ministry also serves families fighting pediatric chronic illness, transplant recovery, and select hospital care provider teams.
We do this because we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
We desire to minister to the brokenhearted and to be a part of bringing healing.
