🎄 Christmas in July Brings Joy to Warrior Families

Christmas came a little early last week as we celebrated Christmas in July at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, Warrior Kids, siblings, and caregivers enjoyed LEGO® gifts, Christmas crafts, holiday music, personalized encouragement, and special surprises throughout the day.

One hospital staff member, Molly, shared:

"The families and staff so enjoyed Christmas in July today!"

"Great day all around for parents, PT, and siblings!"

Those simple words capture what we hoped to accomplish. While we can't change a family's diagnosis, we can help create moments of joy, encouragement, and connection during an incredibly difficult season.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, prayed, and supported this special day—including our matching partner, In2being, LLC—thank you. Your kindness helped bring smiles, laughter, and cherished memories to Warrior Families when they needed them most.

Together, you're reminding families they are seen, loved, and never walking this journey alone. 💛

💌 "It's Nice to Know We'll Still Have Mail That Is Sent With Love"

One of our Warrior Moms, Tammy, recently shared words that remind us why this ministry exists—not only for families in treatment, but for those who continue carrying the love and memory of their child.

She wrote:

"When so much of the world didn't know what to say to us, Sent With Love was still there, making us feel seen and special, as you always do. We truly all appreciate every word. It's meaningful to us and touches our hearts more than you will ever know.

While so many pediatric cancer support organizations have moved on from our family, completely understanding as new families are coming into focus and need and deserve to be in the forefront, it's nice to know that we will have mail that is sent with love."

At Sent With Love, we believe remembrance should not have an expiration date. While every family's journey is different, we are honored to continue encouraging bereaved families through handwritten cards, thoughtful words, and the reminder that their child—and their family—will never be forgotten.

To every volunteer who takes the time to write a card, thank you. Your words continue bringing comfort long after the world has grown quiet.
