💌✨ Behind the scenes of monthly mail day… ✨💌

Before a single Smile Pack goes out, there’s a lot of love (and a lot of teamwork!) happening behind the scenes. Every month, the process changes a little — and gets better every time. 💪📬

One person reads each card out loud so we can listen for writing or spelling errors. ✍️ 👂We receive mail from our Day In A Box initiative, as well as our monthly & quarterly card-writing groups. If something needs fixing, we correct it. We make sure every family receives mail, carefully track who wrote to whom, and sometimes set cards aside to be rewritten when needed. 🗂️💖

We add our monthly update letter, tuck in stickers for extra fun 🎉, and honestly… one of the best parts is reading the cards together. We get excited imagining how a certain message will hit just right and encourage someone. 🥹💕

Occasionally, we catch things that don’t fit our mission — like references to treatment details or other inappropriate topics — and we’re grateful we can gently correct those before they go out. Our goal is always the same: to share HOPE and joy. 🌈💌

In just one month, that can mean 130 cards going to 65+ families — and more than 4 hours of sorting, checking, and preparing to send love through the mail. 📦💗

And here’s the beautiful part: this is all done by volunteers. 🤍 Every card read, every correction made, every sticker added, and every package prepared is done by people giving their time and hearts to serve Warrior Kid families. 🙌
